Care Standards and Policies
-
To ensure your pet is happy, healthy, and monitored for safety purposes, my standards of care include everyday visits for cats. Regrettably, due to liability and insurance, I do not take indoor/outdoor cat bookings.
-
While I try my best to arrive at the time you prefer, sometimes pet needs may dictate a slightly different schedule. Priority is given to pets who require time-sensitive medication such as insulin, hyperthyroid, or heart failure medication.
Otherwise I can guarantee the following with ample communication to you to let you know if my arrival deviates from our agreement:
Morning visits: will arrive before 10am (most generally between 7-9)
Afternoon visits: 11-4pm
Evening visits: Between 5-8pm
-
Despite my best efforts, sometimes emergencies arise such as illness, injury, or inclement weather that restricts my ability to travel.
I will never cancel a visit if it seems within my ability to conduct a visit.
However, if a cancellation must happen, I contact you and refund the visit if the cancellation is due to circumstances related to my ability to visit. For inclement weather we will work with a plan to ensure your pet remains safe and cared once the weather emergency is declared.
To avoid leaving your pet without care in any circumstance, I recommend having at least once emergency contact who would be able to take over if I am incapacitated.
-
Any cancellation of services within 72 hours prior to the booking start date are subject to a 50% cancellation fee.
Cancellations once the booking has started will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Cancellations due to extenuating circumstances outside of the Pet Owner’s control will not be subject to a cancellation fee.
Extenuating circumstances include, but are not limited to: Sudden deaths, cancellation of trips due to COVID, COVID exposure, injuries to owners or Pet(s).
